Ridiculous! Our home is 4300 ft and our Sept. 2024 three estimates using HardiePlank cement fiber ranged from $42k-$49k. This included tear off of the old certainteed cement siding and requirement of a lift due to breakable cement roof tiles below the upper level on three sides.Get, at least, four more quotes. LP Streetside is cheaper than hardieplank and cheaper to transport and install due to its lighter weight.

Just got a bid for LP Smartside. Albeit, we have a large home, but simple lines - no irregular gables or other bump-outs, etc.
Probably around 4K sq ft. The quote for just the siding and window trim - $75,000+.
The salesman assured us we couldn't get a "better" deal! Then proceeded to pressure us to sign immediately, as they have a long "waiting list"!
